Madison, one of our students at the Henry Owen School in Chelsea, has a new job on-site! She is the new barista of the Shore coffee cart! As a celebration of this achievement, 2 classrooms gifted her with her own personalized apron. Can`t wait to see Madison smiling in the hallways in her new apron!

We are so proud of our Peabody CBDS individuals and staff who were awarded the Volunteer of the Year award for their dedication and committed work with Haven for Hunger food bank in Peabody. We are immensely proud of our team and grateful to the folks at @citizensinn for this honor.
Congrats! 🏆🎉🎉🎉

Shore Collaborative has been partnering with @citizenschools since the beginning of the school year to work in our classrooms on project based learning activities that focus on community support. Our students designed and implemented various projects such as treat kits for animal shelters, snack kits for food pantries, cooking projects (the brownies were delicious!), robotics, and videos focusing on food insecurity, LGBTQIA+ support, and student mental health. Before February break, they were able to showcase their projects and really delivered! We are so proud of these students and we are grateful for the partnership with Citizen Schools. We can`t wait to see the projects in the Spring!

This past week individuals from Chelsea, Peabody, and Woburn Adult Community Based Day Support programs went ice skating thanks to the DCR Universal Access Program. Some of us were great skaters, and some were first-time skaters. This was a fantastic opportunity with so many helpful volunteers teaching us. The Suffolk University Hockey team even came out to show off their skills. We can`t wait to go again next month.

Last week our Peabody Adult Program had their first ever Winter Wonderland Ball. Shore`s Peabody staff stayed after hours to decorate and set up for the evening festivities. There was a low sensory room for those who didn`t like loud music or crowds. The dance floor was packed and full of energy! We had individuals, parents, grandparents, and house staff dancing the night away. It was indeed a night to remember!
